blogpresents: The x-rays that we are mostly familiar with reveal broken bones, foreign objects, solidified mineral and tissue deposits or mysterious shadows around the heart. They provide scientific insight into our anatomy used primarily for medical analysis and diagnosis. But this x-ray singlehandedly bends the genre of biomedical imaging by bringing an unexpected element of human emotion to the medium. This use of x-ray technology to go beyond technical representation is on the cusp of entering into new conceptual ground in the visual arts. Georgetown CCT Program, I like where your head is at.  This x-ray is a Cibachrome print.

Taste Test: Marmalade Pantry’s Cupcakes

I don’t like eating cupcakes, but i had to try Marmalade Pantry’s renowned cupcakes. Banana cupcake with caramel cream cheese frosting. I don’t know if it’s because I bought it at 8pm or my strong dislike for cream cheese frosting, but the caramel cream cheese tastes funky and didn’t work for me. The banana base is nice though, moist with the just amount of banana, but maybe a bit too dense/heavy.

Still, I only ate 1 bite of it. Too sweet.

and I just don’t like eating cupcakes.
